AFTER A HUGE PERIOD OF BAD MENTAL HEALTH, I FINALLY HAVE THE ENERGY FOR BLOGGING AGAIN!!
So, this semester I only got one course that I previously taught so my workload has been drastically reduced... instead of trying to get more courses in topics I'm not an expert at, I decided I'll use these months for improving on my art.
After my previous ruminations about my income, my hobbies, and such stuff, I came to realize what I've always wanted to do was painting, or more like, doing stuff with color... that's why I've always dabbled on visual stuff. I know I have a bit more of experience with video editing, but I gotta say painting:
-
has been feeling more rewarding
-
if I'm gonna pour time into actually improving at something, I think it should be something that doesn't always involve screens
-
my shoulders have been hurting from using my PC a lot lately
-
I have a lot of art supplies I should be using
-
traditional art, art in general, feels like some sort of resistance against AI bs
-
I can do this while laying down in bed hehehehe
So yeah, that's what I'll be working on.
Edit: but I also know I will kinda still try to improve at video editing and maybe 3D modelling also ends up happening lmfaoooo
